There’s bad news for the Colorado Buffaloes at a position they couldn’t afford to be depleted. Former Freshman All-American offensive lineman Tim Lynott left the game against Arizona State at the 11:46 mark of the second quarter with a ankle injury. He was immediately taken to the sidelines by CU’s training staff and was ruled out for the rest of the game.
Lynott has started all 23 games in his sophomore career adjusting to various positions on the line. He was moved to center earlier this season against Northern Colorado and has shifted between left guard.
On the ensuing play after the injury, Colorado took a 10-0 lead on a Phillip Lindsay 6-yard touchdown run with Jonathan Huckins replacing Lynott at center. Huckins was listed third on the depth chart with Aaron Haigler available as well.
There’s no word on the severity of Lynott’s injury at this time.
