Buff Bites: A great class of Buffaloes says goodbye

Colorado basketball is on top in the Pac-12.

NCAA Football: Colorado at Utah Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

CU’s seniors bid farewell, what sort of impact UCLA’s Chip Kelly could have on the Pac-12 South, and the Buffaloes men’s hoops team remains perfect.

THANK YOU, SENIORS!

Hours after Colorado’s 37-13 loss to Utah on Saturday, after the realization that the Buffaloes had failed to make a bowl game for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons, the tweets began popping up.

A number of CU Seniors were saying their goodbyes.

Saturday’s game marked the last time we would get to see Phillip Lindsay rumble downfield in a Buffs uniform. No more Afolabi Laguda or Leo Jackson III to strike fear into opposing offenses. #BlackoutBoyz Bryce Bobo and Devin Ross will no longer be tearing up Folsom Field. To all the Seniors who played their last game on Saturday, THANK YOU! Through all the highs, and even the lows, it was a pleasure watching each of you play. Looking forward to watching you on Sundays.

#MONEYGANG ALUMNI SWAP JERSEYS

Speaking of Sundays, following the Seattle’s 24-13 win over San Francisco a pair of former Buffs exchanged jerseys and posed for this photo courtesy of 49ers graphic designer Matt Sisneros.

CHIP KELLY IMPACT

Here’s a great take from my Ralphie Report colleague Jeff Hauser on how UCLA’s hiring of Chip Kelly could impact the Pac-12 South division. But Kelly might not be the only ESPN analyst joining the Pac-12 South coaching ranks. Former NFL head coach and current ESPN football analyst Herm Edwards is interviewing for the Arizona State position. Which gives us a good reason to insert this classic rant from the former New York Jets head coach.

TAD BOYLE’S BOYS ROLL PAST AIR FORCE; NEXT UP: COLORADO STATE

Colorado’s men’s Basketball team improved to 6-0 for just the 11th time in school history with an 81-69 win over Air Force on Sunday. Next up for the Buffs is a date with in-state rival Colorado State on Saturday, December 2nd (2pm M.T., AT&T Sports Network)

VOLLEYBALL ADVANCES TO NCAA TOURNAMENT

Congrats to Jesse Mahoney’s gang who has advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 19th time in program history. The Buffs (22-9) will face James Madison (23-5) in the first round Friday, December 1 in Waco, Texas at 3:30pm M.T.

Great article by Boston Globe staff writer Nora Princiotti on former Buff and current Patriots left tackle Nate Solder and how his family is dealing with their son’s cancer diagnosis.

MUST WATCH: BUFFS HELPING BUFFS

This piece aired on ESPN’s College Gameday last Saturday. Well worth the watch.
