THAT WAS FAST!

Mere hours after Colorado opened as seven-point underdogs for this weekend’s game at Arizona State, the line has dropped to four according to Vegas Insider. Hmmm? You think bettors were impressed by the Buffs performance against California?

BUFFS IN THE NFL

Seahawks wide receiver Paul Richardson went for over 100 receiving yards and two scores, 49ers rookie Ahkello Witherspoon notched his first career interception, and Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith added another pick-six to his already stellar season. It was a BIG Week 8 for Buffs in the NFL.

BAKHTIARI ROASTED BY CONAN O’BRIEN

Former Buffs offensive lineman David Bakhtiari and his Packers teammates had the week off, but that didn’t stop late night host Conan O’Brien from roasting the left tackle for not protecting his two-time NFL MVP winning quarterback.

EVAN BATTEY’S GREAT ATTITUDE

Despite being ruled ineligible by the NCAA and forced to take an academic redshirt on Thursday, freshman forward Evan Battey had a great attitude about the whole situation.

Tip of the cap to Evan who handled this news admirably. Tad Boyle and company open their season Friday, November 10 against Northern Colorado.

THREE-PEAT

Congrats to CU’s women’s cross country team who captured their third straight Pac-12 Championship Friday in Springfield, Oregon. Junior Dani Jones took home the individual title, becoming the first Buff to do so since Jenny Simpson in 2009.

CU’s men’s cross country team looked to make it seven consecutive Pac-12 team titles but were upset by Stanford. Sophomore Joe Klecker led the Buffs finishing second behind Stanford’s Grant Fisher.
