Spencer Dinwiddie continues to be amazing at everything he does. On Wednesay, the former Colorado Buffaloes fan favorite had the best game of his career. Against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dinwiddie had a career-high 22 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds as he led his Brooklyn Nets to the tight 112-107 win.

Dinwiddie was superb throughout the game. In his first start of the 2017-18 season, was able to drive to the rim as easily as he did in his three seasons at Colorado. On the drive, he is so adept at either creating space for his own shot or drawing in the defense and finding a teammate an open shot. Dinwiddie’s driving ability is heightened when his jump shot is on, just as it was tonight as he shot 4-8 from deep.

No shot was bigger tonight than Dinwiddie’s three-pointer that gave the Nets a one-point lead with 42.5 seconds left. That shot was from deeeeep and right in J.R. Smith’s face.

After LeBron James missed two free throws and then had a pass deflect off his hands out of bounds, Dinwiddie went to the free throw line to seal the win in the final seconds.

Now that Jeremy Lin is out for the season (get well, Jeremy) and D’Angelo Russell is struggling with his knee, Dinwiddie may get heavy minutes this season. He’s certainly deserving.
