No American has ever chased steeples better than Emma Coburn. The former CU track star made a splash in her second Olympics, where she earned a bronze medal in the women’s steeplechase. This is the first medal in the steeplechase for the USA since 1984, both men's and women's, and the first time EVER that an American woman has medaled in the event. As if you needed more proof about how great she is, her run also set an American record in the steeplechase.
Truly a historic run and a great showing by Emma Coburn. Buff Nation is proud to welcome another Olympic medalist to the family. Go Buffs and congratulations, Emma!
