Jamie Guy and John Snelson have done it again.

The men behind the camera for CU Video gathered up an Emmy win for a third consecutive year. As a group composed of seven filmmakers, the Buffs finest won two awards in total at the regional Heartland chapter award banquet for excellence on July 16. Producer Lucas Flores, won for best animation & graphics and CU Video won collectively in the best Sports Program Series category for "Forward", a six episode feature.

The documentary style work for CU Football is the latest to receive an Emmy along with "Forever" last year and "Seasons" in 2014. All of the videos exhibit phenomenal production quality and show why the group remains "Uncommon" to their peers.

Two years ago, Guy and Snelson became the first staff members from a college football team awarded with an Emmy. Both have a vision for highly detailed work and said, "College football is the greatest game in the world and we want to show that visually through the University of Colorado."

The Buffs still remain the only team to win an Emmy. Many production staff of universities have won student categories in the past, but CU is the only to accomplish this with team staff members.

All three of the pieces detail the commitment of CU's football program behind head coach Mike MacIntyre. CU's seven-man crew beat out Fox 31, CBS 4, Root Sports and Univision Denver for the honor. With six nominations and four wins, Guy, Snelson and Co. are working on a new project called " The Rise". They will shoot six episodes this season for the series with a possible seventh, if CU makes a bowl game.

The teaser for the project was released last week and if you haven't watched it yet, please start now. The video opens with shots from new CU wide receiver Juwann Winfree and cuts that will give you chills.
