Tyler Lytle Joins the Stampede

The quarterback becomes the 8th commit. It's a big one, folks.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The wait for a quarterback in the 2017 class is over. Tyler Lytle, one of the biggest names out west and starting signal-caller at one of the premier programs in California, Servite, has pledged to the Buffs. Lytle chose CU out of nearly 30 offers and looks to build upon a class that's off to a great start. Lytle shows a quick release, a prototypical frame, and enough speed to keep defenses honest. Tyler is probably the best quarterback recruit since Craigh Ochs to come to Boulder, and he comes bringing the best class in years (so far). The rise is real, folks.

Welcome, Tyler!

Notes: From Rivals: ""Their coaching staff was awesome," Lytle said. "[Head] coach [Mike] Mac[Intyre], I got to sit down and talk to him for a little bit. I got along great with Coach [Brian] Lindgren, the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, as well as Coach [Darrin] Chiaverini, the other co-offensive coordination. Both of them let me know how much they want me. They were recruiting me pretty hard.""
