Nelson Spruce will go down as one of the best to ever lace it up for the Buffs, but his draft stock has always been questioned. He's been called too slow, too small, and a combo of both. But all he ever did was produce. And despite an up-and-down combine, he should still have number called in the NFL draft. SBNation, who has done a great job in general with draft coverage, just ran a fantastic article on Spruce that details his draft chances.
Spruce says he admires Larry Fitzgerald, which is a fantastic comparison for him. One, it doesn't fall into the "white guy to white guy" trap that a lot of Nelson Spruce comparisons do, and two, they are pretty similar players (thought Fitzgerald has a lot of size on Spruce). Freakishly strong, reliable, and great route-runners, Spruce and Fitzgerald carve space rather than create it. I don't want to spoil any more of the article, but it's awesome and you should read it.
