The quick LB from Washington is officially a Buff!Drew Lewis, a Coffeyville Junior Community College product, has made it official with the Buffs. The former Washington Husky found his way to Coffeyville, Kansas, where he excelled after being injured for part of the year. He also holds offers from Utah State and Memphis. He has great size and speed for the inside linebacker position, and will have three years to play three for the Buffs. Jim Leavitt is responsible for his commitment, and if there's one thing Leavitt knows, it's linebackers. His highlights show an explosive athlete who goes downhill rather than scraping left to right. He can shed blocks or go around them, and punishes people for coming near his turf. Lewis should come in and compete immediately for a starting position at linebacker, and will definitely help its depth.
Welcome to the Buffs, Drew!
