Dallas Walton commits to Colorado

Tad Boyle adds a third member to his 2016 recruiting class.

Tad Boyle picked up a third commitment for his 2016 recruiting class in Arvada West big man Dallas Walton, who announced his decision in an Instagram post tonight. The news was later confirmed by Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede.com.

Walton, who Rivals ranks as the second best player in the state of Colorado for the 2016 class, is a 7'0" power forward and has offers from Denver, Middle Tennessee State and Wyoming in addition to the Buffs. He is averaging 16.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.2 blocked shots per game playing for the Wildcats.

Walton has been lightly recruited for an agile seven footer, but that is because the forward missed two years of action following two ACL tears, both in the left knee. The second tear as he was finishing rehab from the first, which was suffered during an AAU tournament his sophomore year.  He finally returned to the court for the start of his senior season in December.

Welcome to Boulder, Dallas!
