7. Evan White, Cherokee Trail S, 6-3, 195, Colorado A two-time Denver Post All-Colorado selection, White was the heart of a stifling defense that helped Cherokee Trail to the final four this year. He is a cousin of former Buff J.J. Billingsley, who played safety from 2002-06.

Even though it is still at the bottom of the Pac-12, I think the Buffaloes improved with this class and I almost put them over Utah. Pulling Shay Fields away from USC and some other big schools reminds me of when Washington pulled Chris Polk away from USC and it ended up doing wonders for their program.

"He had no offers," CU head coach Mike MacIntyre said.
"We keep recruiting him, we offer him and we're after him. So, he goes to another camp that our coaches went to up in Seattle area. There's another tight end there that's a four-star that's been offered by everybody. They go through all the drills and everybody goes, 'Who in the world is Dylan Keeney?' They completely forgot about the other kid.

"I was talking to my family after the game and they were saying they couldn’t remember a game where it was like that," he said. "I can’t either. So that’s kind of shocking. But at the same time, it was a big win and I wasn’t too absorbed in it. You’re frustrated in the moment, but I was just happy in the end we pulled it out. I would have felt bad if we’d have lost – that’s for sure. I’m not going to worry about it."
