Colorado Thanksgiving: What are we thankful for?

Things seem to be looking up for Buffaloes athletics. This Thanksgiving let's look back and reflect on the things we are thankful for.

Tad Boyle, Rick George, Mike MacIntyre. Cross country national championship, the start of a new lacrosse program, a still dominant ski team. While things could be better, when you step back and look at the state of things in Boulder it does seem to be a pretty good time to be a Colorado Buffalo.

Because it's Thanksgiving and I'm still regretting the moronic decision to start Matt Flynn I thought it would be fun for us all to reflect on the positive things that we've seen at the University of Colorado over the last couple of years. Often times we focus on the negatives and a quick look at what's gone right can be very therapeutic.

So what am I thankful for? I'm extremely grateful for every one of our contributors. Those that still write stories for the site and those that don't. Bob, Ash, David, Tom, Denny, Ryan, Parker, Matt, Andy, PHIL and everyone else that has thrown up a story, FanPost, FanShot, or comment. Everyone that has an opinion and has been willing to share it on this site.

I'm thankful for Tad Boyle and a basketball program that has returned to relevancy in a big way. It's kind of fun to be pissed that the team isn't playing like a Top 25 contender for once. I'm thankful that the women's basketball team is one of the top teams in the country and I'm extremely optimistic about the Mike MacIntyre regime and the way the football program seems to be trending. Things will get better and I'm glad that we'll all be here to see it.

So tell me, what are you thankful for when it comes to the Colorado Buffaloes?

** The GIF of Spruce's catch last week may seem random, but I just taught myself how to create animated GIF's (no, it wasn't hard at all) and I had to use the image somewhere.
