But weather conditions are expected to be in the 30s and there is the possibility of snow in Boulder. USC isn’t traditionally a cold-weather team. Colorado is coming off a big home win against Cal and the Buffs still have something to play for in late November. Been a while since we typed that.

I don't think the Pac-12 is back to its previous heights because there's only one team that looks to be a reasonable Final Four contender. That said, it's bounced back very nicely from the trough of a few years ago. In the preseason, I thought the league could get seven teams into the NCAAs, and that still looks quite possible. It's a very good league, and the prep talent on the West Coast is rising, so this shouldn't be a blip. I like the prognosis for the league going forward.

"It’s just awesome, I told (coach) that he can’t get rid of us yet," Hughes said. "I think as seniors we just want to keep going because we aren’t ready to be done. I think that it’s just awesome and it means a lot to us and there are also a lot of people that are following us. I have teachers and just old teammates that are just so invested in this and it just means a lot to us and this is a great experience and we just want to keep going."
