Gambling! Week 2 College Football Picks And Lines To Watch

Getty Images

Last week: 2-2
Season record: 2-2

All lines according to Vegas Insider as of 11:00 a.m., on 9/6

Toledo Rockets at Wyoming Cowboys (-3)
The line has held steady here, but neither week one score for these two teams really tells the story. Toledo's loss to Arizona looks much better than it really was with the Wildcats rolling up over 600 yards and the Cowboys played Texas tough. Dave Christensen is building a better and better team and the altitude in Laramie always gives opponents fits. Cowboys it is.
The pick - Wyoming -3

Michigan St. Spartans at Central Michigan Chippewas (+21)
This game fell all the way from for +23.5 with more than 70% of the money consistently on the Spartans. Michigan State is coming off of a big win over Boise State, but they couldn't pull off the cover from the four-yard line. Central Michigan didn't impress in an 11-point win over Southeast Missouri State, but will be fired up for the home game against the state rival and keep the game just close enough.
The pick - Central Michigan +21

Iowa St. Cyclones at Iowa Hawkeyes (-4.5)
This one really surprised me. I was planning on taking the Cyclones after Iowa's week one struggles and persistent issues against State. But looking at the numbers, so was everyone else. Well over 80% of the money has been on the Cyclones (gotta love Coach Rhodes) yet the line has risen from 3.5 all the way to 5 before settling in here at 4.5. Iowa will be fired up after a weak performance and take down ISU.
The pick - Iowa -4.5

Georgia Bulldogs at Missouri Tigers (+2.5)
This is the game of the week that I just don't feel that good about. There hasn't been a whole lot of line movement, it's basically shuffled back and forth from 3 to 2 and I don't have a good feel for either team. I'm going to go with Missouri pulling the home upset in their first SEC conference game. The potential loss of Bacarri Rambo and Alec Ogletree could make a difference.
The pick - Missouri +2.5
