Football: CU Buffs' Ray Polk has sense of urgency - Buffzone
Polk also has proven he's willing to leave it all on the field for his teammates. He only recently fully recovered after playing most of last season with a damaged wrist and fractured sternum. "It wasn't fun," Polk said. "I mean, it was still fun being out there with your team, but it was hard. I definitely don't want to do it again, but you just push through it for your team and you know your team is pushing through injuries, too."

23 scholarshiped true freshmen and seven recruited walk-ons participated in their first practice with the Buffaloes on Monday afternoon. That number (30) exceeds the number (29) of upperclassmen on CU's roster. The Buffs have their second smallest senior class since 1962.
Colorado's strengths: start with linebacker, offensive line, kickers
LINEBACKERS: In seniors Jon Major and Doug Rippy and junior Derrick Webb, Colorado has experience and savvy in that unit. And perhaps even more important, as a group these guys are more athletic and are quicker afoot than some other CU linebacker corps of recent years. I’m also impressed with the young talent behind the starters, including Brady Daigh, Woodson Greer III, converted safety Kyle Washington and K.T. Tu’umalo. That’s a promising set of sophomores.

Colorado Basketball Gearing Up For European Trip : The Arena Pulse
The trip to Europe will be extremely beneficial to next season’s success for a few different reasons. The Buffs will be allowed to have ten full team practices before they head off on August 13; as of today they have five left before they leave. During those practices, Boyle will be able to install offensive and defensive sets and it will give the incoming freshmen a chance to adapt to the higher level of play sooner than the majority of freshmen around the country. The trip will also allow the team to create some chemistry and camaraderie before the season starts in late November.
