Colorado Buffaloes junior offensive tackle David Bakhtiari became the fourth Buffalo to be named to a preseason watch list as he was honored by being named as a name to watch by the Football Writers of America. The Outland Trophy is meant to honor the nation's best offensive lineman. Bakhtiari has also seen a lot of love as a All-Pac-12 Team inclusion by many of the popular preseason magazines, often being the only Buffalo named.

Bakhtiari was expected to be an anchor on the offensive line last year, but had to miss time due to an injury in the first game against Colorado State. Upon being cleared, he didn't miss a beat:

After he came back in the Ohio State game, he played in all 623 of the remaining offensive plays over the last 10 games of the season, grading out to 84.4 percent.

He had 21 great effort blocks, two touchdown blocks, and gave up just two sacks and three quarterback pressures while committing just one penalty all season long. His best game was his initial return against Ohio State where he graded out at over 90 percent.

Bakhtiari staying healthy during the season will be extremely important for an offensive line that is being counted on to protecting a brand new starting quarterback. Congrats, David!
