George Frazier Becomes First Colorado Linebacker Commit

New, 7 comments

The Colorado Buffaloes have added their sixth new commit in the past week with the verbal of Monrovia, California linebacker George Frazier. Frazier held offers from Washington State, Fresno State and San Jose State and had been receiving plenty of interest from UCLA and California.

With Doug Rippy and Jon Major set to graduate after this season and zero linebackers in the large class of 2012, the position is a huge need in this cycle. He earned first-team all-league, all-CIF and all-area honors last season as he spendt time playing both defensive end and outside linebacker for Monrovia.

Welcome aboard George!

Frazier earned first-team all-league, all-CIF and all-area honors as a junior. He spends time playing both defensive end and outside linebacker for Monrovia.

"I am also our backup quarterback on offense and I play some tight end, fullback and wide receiver," Frazier said. "Practicing on offense helps me on defense because it allows me to know what an offense is thinking when they are trying to attack a defense."
