New, 14 comments

This is how you kick off a weekend. Buffstampede.com is reporting that Parker, Colorado tight end Mitchell Parsons has given a verbal commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes. This one is huge. One of only two 4-stars in the state of Colorado, Parsons was coveted by top schools all over the country. Go ahead and look at the offer list. More importantly, a Colorado kid is staying home where he belongs and will don the black and gold. Lock down these borders!

Welcome aboard Mitchell!

Notes: From Rivals ($):
"I just had a gut feeling about it. CU offered me in November, but really for the last month or so, I have just been thinking about committing to them. I went to ASU yesterday and I loved ASU. ASU has nice weather and all this stuff but it just had a different feel than CU.

"A lot of the coaches at CU have been together for so long and they played ball for CU and they have CU in their blood so it just felt right. I also realize that there are not many places in the United States like Colorado and I just love it here. I figured I might as well enjoy another four or five years here."
