Gambling! Week 10 College Football Picks And Lines To Watch

Taking a look at this week's odds and picking out a few winners. Will Duke rebound against Clemson? Can Virginia run with the Wolfpack?

Mark Dolejs-US PRESSWIRE

Last week: 2-2
Season record: 13-11

All lines according to Vegas Insider as of 2:00 p.m., on 11/1

Clemson Tigers at Duke Blue Devils (+12.5)
Oh man, I wouldn't have picked a single one of these games of my own accord. Not a single one. But that's why this column is (nearly) a strictly numbers only exercise, because "my own accord" never wins me a thing. This one opened with the Blue Devils getting 14.5 points and has dropped a full two points with 91% of the money or higher on the Tigers all week. That is huge. Duke is coming off a beat down at the hands of Florida State, they rebound this week against the Tigers.
The pick - Blue Devils +12.5

Virginia Cavaliers (+10.5) at N.C. State Wolfpack
N.C. State is coming off a back and forth game against the rival Tar Heels. Now they welcome a hapless Virginia team to the friendly confines. Easy pick right? Well, around 70% of the money or higher has sat on the Wolfpack but the line has fallen from 12 to 10.5 (and it was at 9.5 until 1:45 today).
The pick - Cavaliers +10.5

SMU Mustangs at Central Florida Knights (-11.5)
Both squads are coming off of consecutive blowouts of significantly weaker opponents (ahem, Memphis) but the Golden Knights will get this one done. The line has shifted quite a bit throughout the week but has finally settled in with UCF giving 11.5. The money has been on the Mustangs all week (which seems odd to me too) but we'll take the home team.
The pick - Knights -11.5

Syracuse Orange (+4) at Cincinnati Bearcats
It looks like the Bearcats are being exposed as a slightly overrated team at this point in the season and the numbers haven't quite caught up yet. This is a game that could swing to either side of the spread with a single turnover or field goal. But the line has shifted a point with 80% riding on Cincy. Orange it is.
The pick - Orange +4
