The Colorado Buffaloes have received a second big time secondary commitment in one week now that New Jersey cornerback Yuri Wright has given his verbal commit. Wright, who many analysts incorrectly assumed would be heading to Notre Dame or Rutgers, is a star, another incoming player for Greg Brown's defense that could be an immediate impact player. Wright had been in the news as of late due to some tweets from his private account that had reached the public eye. But make no mistake, this is a huge get for Colorado and, combined with Kenny Crawley, will form the foundation of the 2012 class.
Welcome aboard Yuri!

Notes: From ESPN ($): "Perhaps falling under the national radar, Wright has some of the better skill-set at the corner position in 2012. His height, hips and polished footwork are rare at the position for a 6-foot-2 corner. Tall with great height and length with more than adequate strength. Flashes excellent burst as well as top-end speed. Fluid and smooth in his movements but is also physical with a ball-hawk mentality. Understands schemes and expertly reads the quarterback and underneath route development. Does an excellent job anticipating the pass. Footwork and transitional skills are what set him apart."
