Buffaloes Running Back Commit Terrence Crowder Tears ACL

Lost in the good news of Connor Wood's transfer to the University of Colorado was confirmation that Galena Park (Houston), TX running back and Buffs verbal commitment Terrence Crowder has torn his ACL five carries into his senior season. BuffStampede.com's Adam Munsterteiger confirmed the news via twitter last night.

This is a really tough break for a young man who was undoubtedly looking forward to his last senior season with a Galena Park team that hoped to make some noise in district play this year.

Here is what Rivals.com had to say about Terrence:

Colorado said they love the way I run the ball," Crowder said. "They think I could be someone that could come in and help lead them to being a dominant team in the Pac-12."

Crowder earned first-team all-district honors as a junior. He rushed for 1,338 yards and 15 touchdowns while helping Galena Park to a 7-4 record.

"I am an up-field runner. I don't run to the side, but rather between the tackles and up the field," Crowder said. "I am working on my blocking right now because my coaches said that is something I need to improve on.

Best of luck in your recovery, Terrence.
