Another One! Colorado Receives A Verbal From 2012 Texas WR Peyton Williams

It's been a long time since the Colorado Buffaloes have seen a flurry of recruiting activity this early in the year in a long, long time. The Buffs have picked up their third commitment in two days by receiving a verbal from Southlake Carroll wide receiver Peyton Williams. This one seems to be thanks to the efforts of new wide receivers coach Bobby Kennedy, who came to CU from the University of Texas and obviously still has a lot of good contacts in the state. Peyton, who is also a star on the Southlake track team, becomes the fifth recruit (of ten) to join the Buffaloes from the state of Texas.

Notes:
From Rivals ($):At 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, Williams is not an exceptionally large target. But he has excellent strength and is good at attacking the ball in the air. And Williams is no speed demon, but he runs the 40-yard dash consistently in 4.5-seconds. He is a member of Carroll's highly ranked 4x4 relay team.

"I am not afraid to go across the middle and make plays and I am a good blocker," Williams said. "I like to think I have the whole package."

Williams also runs track for Carroll.
Williams earned all-district honors after catching a team-high 56 passes for 684 yards and six touchdowns as a junior.
