Colorado Buffaloes Grab Another D-Lineman, Receive Verbal From Josh Tupou

It wasn't that long ago that we were looking at the current state of the 2012 Buffaloes recruiting class and bemoaning the small number of defensive players that had pledged to play in Boulder next season. Less than three weeks later Colorado has added their fourth verbal commitment on the defensive line, a huge position of need for the team over the next two seasons. Tupou is pretty under the radar due to a transfer to Buena Park from Orange and a lack of film combined with some raw abilities. He should be a great candidate to improve quickly once he learns the techniques of the position and he has the size that will be needed on the line.

Welcome aboard Josh!

Notes: From Rivals ($):
"Josh transferred to Buena Park from Orange High School for his senior season and when he arrived, he was extremely raw," White said. "He spent extra time watching film, learning our scheme, and that was very vital for us. He also worked really hard in the weight room.

"When Josh came in, he didn't have any film whatsoever. He was off the radar so no schools knew about him. Our coaching staff worked hard to get his name out there, sending film every week. We had [Washington head] coach Steve Sarkisian on our campus last week to meet with Josh, they just found out about him, but Colorado has been on him for a while and that was a big factor."
