Boyle! Colorado Basketball Secures A Commitment From California Forward Xavier Johnson

According to Adam Munsterteiger of, the Colorado Buffaloes have received their second commitment in the 2012 recruiting class in two days, and this one's a big one. Xavier Johnson is a high profile forward playing for a big time team in California. He had offers from at least four other Pac-12 teams. Johnson's commitment should see the Buffaloes make a nice jump in the recruiting rankings.

Welcome aboard Xavier! Tad Boyle is officially on a roll...

From Scout:
Johnson is a multi-talented forward who can knock down the three, create his own shot from midrange and also attack the basket. He tends to rely on his three too much, but he has a terrific stroke and in time should be a very good three-point shooter. Johnson's effort is inconsistent, but when he's focused and plays hard, there's a big difference in his performance. He's a good passer and defender when giving good effort on that end of the court.

Check out an interview and some highlights after the jump.
