Colorado_mediumMcCartney provided winning formula for 1990 CU Buffs - Buffzone

Here`s something you can take to the bank: No coach in America -- not Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, Mack Brown, Jim Tressel, Urban Meyer, Bobby Petrino or Bo Pelini -- would dare attempt today what Bill McCartney tried in 1990.

Colorado_mediumUCLA Bruins vs. Texas Longhorns - Recap - September 25, 2010 - ESPN - Mack Brown takes responsibility...    ...for practically everyone in the stadium:

It was a rear-end kicking," Texas coach Mack Brown said. "This one's embarrassing for me. As a head coach, I'm responsible for everybody in this program, from the trainers to the managers to the walk-ons, to the kids to the coaches -- everybody.

This seems like what you want to hear from your coach after an embarrassing loss.

Scouting an opponent never has been so comprehensive or accessible. Senior receiver Scotty McKnight said the program "brings a whole new dimension to studying your opponent - something that's been a long time coming."

McKnight also recalled off-hours during the off-season when he had free time and wanted to visit the football offices to watch tape of future opponents.

"This just gives you the opportunity to watch it whenever and wherever you are - back home in California, in the off-season wherever you might be," he said. "If you have an Internet connection, you can get on-line and watch cut-ups from the coaches or from games . . . it gives you full access to watching film whatever, whenever. It's huge.

"Whoever came up with that idea, whoever started that company . . . Hey, I might be buying stock."

This goal was off Herzl's second shot of the season after she was moved from defender to forward in overtime of the UCLA match.

"I think offense is really fun," said Herzl "I've never played (forward) before and being up there is really cool. I like to score goals and I think that it's a good move."
