The coach's mantra with his team throughout the off-season has been encouraging players and assistant coaches to work each day on improving by three plays a game this year. Hawkins believes his team was just a handful of plays away from winning in most of its losses last year.

He ranked sixth in the Big 12 in receiving yards and receptions, catching 76 balls for 893 yards and six touchdowns. Those numbers are second-best among returning Big 12 receivers...

Stewart rushed for 804 yards -- fifth-most in the Big 12... ...after receiving 198 carries, also the fifth-most in the conference.
I know these numbers don't scale all the way up, but I'm excited to see Speedy get more carries.
I'm not trying to sling mud anywhere, but when it seems like we're the only school with players getting in trouble, remember that we're not; by a long shot.

With exit and entry details possibly requiring more time to finalize, CU is building scenarios for a departure from the Big 12 Conference in 2011 as well as one in 2012 if the earlier exit can't be accomplished.
