Andre Simmons Cleared For Admissions, Buffs Finally Catch a Break

12

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, WR Andre Simmons has been cleared to enroll at the University of Colorado. In what has been a topsy turvy affair, Simmons will begin classes today and will start his football career tomorrow when practice resumes. Congratulations to Andre and the entire football program. This once again shows getting JUCO transfers into Colorado is a difficult task but do-able now that Shaun Mohler and Simmons have paved the way. This is a big win for the Buffs. Who knows when Simmons will be "game and division one" ready but I am eyeing the Wyoming game where both Markques Simas and Andre Simmons should probably be on the field and ready to go. That will be a nice tune-up for West Virginia and the rest of Big 12 play. And just like that, hopefully we can feel better about the wide receiver position! Again, congrats to Simmons. His work really paid off and it was only right to award the kid for the academic gauntlet he completed. It is nice to now be able to say "current Colorado Buffaloes receiver Andre Simmons."
