The Name Fits: The Bloomington Pantagraph Reports Denver Johnson Will Be the New Offensive Line Coach

2

I usually don't like to have the Bloomington Pantagraph as the one source for this but the rumor was Denver Johnson was on the short list so this makes sense... The Pantagraph has learned Johnson has accepted the offensive line coach position at the University of Colorado. An announcement is planned on the Boulder campus for Wednesday. More on Denver Johnson in a future post but the Pantagraph has listed some of his resume: A former offensive lineman at the University of Tulsa and in the NFL, Johnson will be an assistant coach for the first time since 1996 at Oklahoma. The 50-year-old Johnson was 69-66 in 12 years as a head coach, three years at Murray State and the past nine at ISU. Johnson stepped down as Redbird coach after the 2008 season with a 48-54 record at the school.
