Some information about Diante Jackson that not everyone might have. Jackson is Oregon's commit Avery Patterson's second cousin. Apparently, they're pretty close and talk on a constant basis. That can't hurt Oregon's chances for Jackson. Jackson is of course, one of the premier wide receivers in the west and was committed to Oregon originally before switching it to Colorado. Both schools are in great need of young wide receivers to be the game-breaking receiver of the future for the programs. Oregon's got a better system and quarterbacks going forward than Colorado does. (If you thought CU was gonna run it last year, wait until they really get their run game installed in Mark Helfrich's system.) Cody Hawkins, Ballenger and Hansen are 'catch and run' throwers without the proven ability to stretch the field yet. Masoli, Roper and Thomas? They can all throw it deep, and accurately. They've proven it in games. But it all comes down to what program and place are the right fit. Oregon could sure use Diante Jackson on their team, but so could Colorado. Shocker, an Oregon guy thinks Diante should go to Oregon. Who would have thought that? Bob Rickert gives his thoughts on what Diante should do. Is anyone else sort of getting sick of Oregon? He says some factual things but he omits the fact that Diante wants to be a Buff, he told us. And yes, on paper the offense doesn't look good when you look in the past but because the Buffs have a better running game, the system will open up for Diante and Markques Simas. It is not like the Buffs are running the wishbone. We do run the spread. It will be Diante's show and don't worry, we can expect a 5 star QB in Boulder next year. I just hope this Diante Jackson saga gets over soon, for his sake...well it has to in 10 days.
