A day after signing SF Keegan Hornbuckle, the Buffaloes have signed Missouri guard Alec Burks. Here is what ESPN had for the announcement:
Alec Burks of Grandview, Mo., has chosen Colorado over Kansas State. He is considered No. 31 among point guards in Class 2009.
Among Burks' other offers were Wichita State, Drake, Missouri State and Santa Clara.
The 6-foot-4 scorer joins small forward Keegan Hornbuckle of Campbell Hall (North Hollywood, Calif.) in Colorado's recruiting class.
Burks averaged 19.9 points and 4.8 rebounds as a junior.
Good week for coach Bzdelik and the Colorado Buffaloes program. Hornbuckle looks to be the more highly touted recruit but Burks has good size and is ranked pretty high on the point guard list. Rivals.com has Burks as a three star guard. I think BuffZag or Denverjhawk may have some more info to add on this kid especially in BuffZag's case because Burks was also recruited by a WCC school in Santa Clara.
