Buffs Offer Another Quarterback/Athlete, Josh Moten

According to Greg Biggens of ESPN:

Moten lands Big 12 offer

It was a good weekend for athlete Josh Moten (Harbor City, Calif./Calif.). Friday night, Moten led the Gauchos to a come from behind win over a tough Crenshaw (Los Angeles) squad and a berth in the Los Angeles City Championship game.

On Saturday, the good news continued as Moten received a big offer out of the Big 12.

"I just got offered by Colorado," Moten said. "They want me as an athlete and feel I could come in and do some different things for them. I'm really excited and definitely plan to take an official visit there.

"Coach (Darian) Hagan is the one recruiting me and they want me to come up for a visit in January. I'm not ready to commit to them but I do like them a lot. I just want to wait things out and see what other options I have before I make my decision."

In the Gauchos' 25-24 win over Crenshaw, Moten threw a four-yard touchdown with a minute left and the ensuing two-point conversion gave them the win.

Here is ESPN's take on the kid. Kind of reminds me of a Pat White style quarterback since he ran the same style of offense in high school. He can definitely run and is not a bad passer at all. He looks taller than 6'0" too. The more play makers we have on this team, the better. Moten sounds really high on the Buffs as well.

Others who are interested in Moten include North Carolina A&T (only other offer), Oregon, Arizona, Oregon State, NC State and San Jose State.
