Wow, the Buffs are favored by 17 points?!?! The Buffs have not been good against the spread this year so this is an alarmingly big number as the Buffs attempt to go for win number six on the year and three in a row before they head off to Hawaii for the Rainbow Classic. Before packing the shorts and t-shirts, the Buffs will have to deal with the Warhawks from Louisiana-Monroe. ULM is from the Sun Belt Conference and have a tough go of things so far. Usually these teams from mid major conference come into Boulder with losing record because they have played BCS quality teams, not this team. The Warhawks have lost games against McNeese State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette and Tennessee Tech by 28 points. This year, the Warhawks are averaging 60 points per game while giving up 75 per, which is a recipe for a bad year.
The Buffs come off their two best performances of the year against Colorado State and Prairie View A&M. So. G Corey Higgins continues to lead the team in most major statistical categories. The key so far for the Buffs has been their ability to shoot well. In the six games CU has shot over 50%, they are 5 - 1. Look for the Buffs to try and roll it up tonight before they depart for the sandy beaches. I don't think I would take the points though!
