Freudian Slip Wednesday Buff Bites

Chase Daniel like's Colt McCoy's back side! Watch the video.

In case you haven't seen this video yet from our old site, it is amazing that CU RB Rodney Stewart wasn't recruited by more schools. He has to be one of the steals of the 2008 recruiting season. Right now Stewart ranks second in the Big 12 in both yards/game (85) and total yards (594). He is on pace for a 1,000 yard season as a true freshman and with a few bad defenses coming up, he should be able to get that number. There is a few players on this team that you can single out and say, "Where would we be without him." RB Rodney Stewart is one of those guys.

For those of you who haven't seen Dave Plati's Weekly Release from the CU Sports Information office, you best be checking this out. It is the mecca of all things CU. This stat comes from the release:

Though Colorado’s offense has come under some scrutiny for its struggles, when it comes to big plays, CU’s defense has helped balance things out. The
opponent has 22 plays of 20 yards or more, while CU has 19; the opponent has a slight edge in plays of 10 yards or more (87-83) and five yards or more
(194--185). The difference is noticeable in two areas, plays for zero gain (134-100 in favor of CU) and negative plays (53-40, CU), as well as in a key stat on first down: CU has had 123 of 216 first down plays go for two yards or less(57 percent); the opponent has had that occur 88 times in 211 plays (42 percent).

The Ralphie Report said it last night, the Boulder Daily Camera is now on board: Missouri TE Chase Coffman will pose a big threat to this Buffs defense if they don't get physical with him at the line of scrimamge.

LT Nate Solder had his best game of the year against Kansas State last week grading out at 99%. Look for a feature soon about how the offensive line has progressed over the past couple of weeks:

Solder, who played tight end as a freshman last season, was nominated for CU's male athlete of the week after grading out a 99 percent in the Buffs' win against Kansas State.

Too bad College Football didn't have a free agent wire...we need a kicker.

Dan Hawkins delivered a vote of confidence Tuesday to kicker Aric Goodman, who has missed his past six field goal attempts: "We don't have a free-agent wire, and it's not like he's shanking them all over the place ... He'll kick his way out of it."

Since there was no new music yesterday, you get two songs today.  Don't say I never do anything for you guys.
First off I posted a song from the new Department of Eagles album (might be a little bit different for some of you) which is almost certainly going to be one of my top three albums of the year.  Second is a Roots song since I saw them at The Fillmore last night.  Enjoy.
