Cowboys got a 4th-round compensatory pick (135th overall) in the 2012 draft for Stephen Bowen.
It's amazing how far some people will go to talk themselves out of a pro prospect. There's current chatter that Riley Reiff's arm length (33 1/4") could actually prevent him from playing tackle in the NFL. Never mind the fact that Reiff's measurables are virtually identical to Green Bay stud right tackle Bryan Bulaga, or that Reiff actually has longer arms than Browns tackle/Pro Bowl mainstay Joe Thomas (32 1/2"). Get this guy over to guard already ...
It's truly hard to justify the selection of a right tackle in the top 10, but to claim that Reiff doesn't have the tools be a franchise-caliber protector at the position is slightly disingenuous.
To me, there is only one no-brainer when it comes to leaving school early for this year's NFL draft:
Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly: Was there any award he didn'twin this year? What he's done in just three seasons at BC is remarkable, and he would gain more as a first-round draft pick than he would a starting linebacker for the Eagles in 2012. Kuechly is not only physically gifted enough, he's also smart enough and mature enough to handle the transition. Prediction: Early-to-mid first-round. GONE.
