After spending more than nine hours in Boulder yesterday, Cincinnati Head Coach Butch Jones has narrowed his options down to accepting the offer to coach the Buffaloes or staying in Ohio with a reworked contract. Reports from the Purdue Rivals site say that Purdue is no longer in the mix and has moved on to Kent State Coach Darrell Hazell.
Many assumed that Jones would make his decision before a scheduled 11 a.m. MT press conference to discuss the Bearcats Belk Bowl match-up, but it now appears that he will try and pull the press conference off without addressing the job situation.
Sources tell us that Butch Jones will not address job status at the "Bowl" presser at 1pm. Likely to hear on the job front later tonight.

I'm glad he is taking his time to make a choice that he will be happy with, but it should be a rather uncomfortable situation for everyone at the press conference. One would assume that once he decides things will move quickly, whether that is introducing him to the team and community or moving onto Plan B.
