The Colorado Buffaloes are once again facing huge odds (at least according to Vegas) in a conference road game. It's something that we have become all too familiar with lately but still hold out hope that a change is coming soon. The Buffs opened as 26-point underdogs according to Vegas Insider and the line has held steady as of this writing on Tuesday night. While Colorado was getting a decent percentage of the incoming money earlier this week it's getting more and more heavy on the Sun Devils as we get closer to game day.
Arizona State sits at 3-2 with wins over #20 Wisconsin (even if it was controversial) and USC and losses on the road against #5 Stanford and in Dallas against Notre Dame. Quarterback Taylor Kelly has picked up where he left off last year, throwing for 1,732 yards with 14 touchdowns to 6 interceptions while all-purpose back Marion Grice has 13 total touchdowns and 526 yards. Grice is a guy that could kill the Buffs if they let him roam like they did Brandin Cooks.
The Sun Devils (along with the Bruins) have been a team that has seemingly had the Buffs number during their first two seasons in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes did hang with ASU for a bit last year in Boulder, the score was 20-17 at halftime, but got smoked 31-0 in the second half. Colorado will need an A+ performance to get it done in Tempe against an angry team coming off a loss, but it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
