2015 Realistic Colorado Recruiting Targets for the Spring

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Open Contact Season is upon us! Football recruits are now allowed to talk to coaches, and this is usually around the time recruiting heats up. I'll try to highlight a few targets that should be among the first to commit and then some long-shots.

Sure Things (Hopefully)

T.J. Fehoko-Committed!

This man is, simply put, a sack machine. And we need those. He led the nation last year in sacks last year with 34. 34 sacks. In one season. Need I say more? He loved his visit and his commit should be coming soon.

Chris Bounds

This tight end is from Chaminade, a California "powerhouse" that gave us Donovan Lee and Rick Gamboa last year. The more in-roads to this school, the better. It doesn't help that he is being recruited at tight end, a position of weakness on this team. In my opinion, he is a walk-on hopefully, but what do I know, I'm just a hopeless optimist. His highlights are here. Kyle McCall recently told me he's "a slam dunk".

Long-Shots/Wish List

Branden Bowen

He just finished his visit to Boulder and supposedly loved it, but we have not offered him yet. This is the most pancakes I have ever seen in a high school highlight video. He is 6-7 and 310 already. Imagine a class with him, Middlemiss, and Lynott (if we somehow hold onto him. Anywhere but ASU, please, Tim). That's the makings of an offensive line dynasty.

Sheriron Jones

We are somehow still in contention for this 4 star QB out of California. He can run, but he wants to be known for his arm than his legs. He named us in the top 3 a while back, in a pack with the Arizona schools. If we can secure his signature, I will take that as the biggest indicator that the program is back on track. He's big time.
