As this years team adjusts to the loss of Spencer and Fletch, I thought I would take a look back at where Buffs of the past are today. The focus will be on recent Buffs, more specifically those from the beginning of the Boyle era and end of the Bzdelik era. If this receives a positive response I will write a similar post for the Football team.
Carlon Brown: Played at CU in 2011-12 after tran 16 games he has played after joining the team in August 2013 and is averaging 18.8 points, 4.8 steals and 4.8 rebounds a game (Israeli Basketball Super League Administration). The team is currently 10-6 and in third place in the IBSL.
Cory Higgins: Played at CU from 2007-2011. Currently playing for Triumph Lyubertsy in Russia and is their starting shooting guard. Averaging 22.20 pts, 4.15 rbs, and 3.4 assists per game through his first 20 with the team in all competitions. Triumph are currently sixth in the VTB United League, with a record of 7-5.
Levi Knutson: Played at CU from 2007-2011. Currently a free agent who last played for Energa Czarni Slupsk in Poland. He averaged 10.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game during the 2012-2013 season.
Nate Tomlinson: Played at CU from 2008-12. Currently playing for the Melbourne Tigers in Australia and is leading the team and the league in assists, through the first twenty one games of the 2013-2014 season he is averaging 7.8 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game as the teams starting point guard. The Tigers are currently third in the ANBL, 3.5 games behind first place Perth and hold a record of 12-9.
Alec Burks: Played at CU from 2009-11. Currently playing for the Utah Jazz, so far this season he is averaging 12.94 points, 2.7 assists, 3.22 rebounds in 27 minutes per game. The Jazz are currently 5th in the Northwestern division and 14th in the Western Conference with a record of 17-33. Burks currently is in the role of back up shooting guard to Gordon Hayward.
Marcus Relphorde: Played at CU from 2009-11. Currently playing for Salon Vilpas in Finland's Finnish Korisliiga league. So far this season in 21 games he is averaging 17.24 points, 5.24 rebounds, and 3.05 assists as the starting PF. Salon Vilpas is in 8th place with a record of 10-19.
