CBSSports 1-126 Pre-Season Ranking Out, CU #86

I'm curious what people think about this ranking? I know it means absolutely nothing, but it's fun to discuss.

CBS has CU at #86, interestingly the "neighborhood" right around #86 has a lot of schools who are literally in CU's neighborhood, with Air Force at #84, Wyoming at #88, and Kansas at #85. My first reaction was that 86 was higher than I expected following a 1-11 season, a coaching change, and a lot of guesswork about who will be QB, but then again the reality is #86 is terribly low, as in Kansas and poor quality Mountain West teams.

By these rankings CU's schedule sorts out like this

slightly favored over - #93 Colorado State,

huge underdogs in these games: #26 Fresno St., @ #28 Oregon St., #3 Oregon, @#29 Arizona St., @#22 UCLA, @#36 Washington, and #24 USC,

underdogs in these games: #42 Arizona, #60 Cal, and @#66 Utah

That's kind of in-line with how I feel about this season. I see a ceiling of 5 wins if they say take care of the CSU game, win at home against Cal and Arizona and win the Utah game plus pull out one big upset, which to me looks most likely to happen on the road in conference, maybe @ Arizona State. The floor would be another 1-11 season, and a best guess would be winning the "rivalry" games against Utah and CSU plus one other I'd say Cal at home - maybe make that the rivalry trifecta with all those Berkely / Boulder comparisons.
