Well, after a fast start highlighted by a 64-yard touchdown run by true freshman Buffaloes fullback Christian Powell that led to a 14-0 lead, the Buffaloes defense faltered to let the Hornets score 21 unanswered points. A touchdown reception by Kyle Slavin allowed the Buffs to tie it up at 21 with just over 2 minutes to play before Sacramento State marched down the field to before being stopped at the 10 and kicking a field goal.

The Buffs defense has got to adjust and step up. No pressure, no containment, no good.
