PAC 12 / Big 12 BBQ

HI guys, Phil here. In honor of the onset of college football, the good people here at 20th Century Fox decided to throw us a BBQ featuring dishes "inspired" by the various schools in each conference. Enjoy!

"Arizona Wildcats" Southwest Salad

"Oklahoma Sooners" Cherry and Mixed Green Salad with goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette

"Texas Longhorn" Hamburgers, Veggie Burgers, & Turkey Burgers

"USC Trojans" Bacon Wrapped LA Street Dog

"Colorado Buffaloes"Rocky Mountain Beer Bratwursts

"California Golden Bears" Top Dog Frankfurter & Hot Link

"Oregon Ducks" Blackberry Cobbler

"Stanford Cardinal" Blueberry Coffee Cake.

But that's not all! Another one of the restaurants on lot lot is also joining in on the frivolity:

"Colorado Buffaloes" Rocky Mountain Beer Braised Brisket

"TCU Horned Frogs" Sweet Onion Mashed Potatoes

"Utah Utes" Honey Glazed Carrots

"Kansas Jayhawk" Cheese Steak Pizza

"Texas Tech Red Raider" Three Cheese and Mixed Veggie Pizza

"USC Trojan" BBQ Chicken Pizza

"Baylor Bear" Blue Dog Pizza (green enchilada sauce, shredded chicken, jalepenos, red onions, pepper jack)

"Oklahoma Sooner" Pulled Pork, Caleslaw, and Pickle Chip Sandwich

"Washington Huskies" Pesto Salmon

"Stanford Cardinal" Vegetarian Stir Fry

"Ucla Bruins" Farmer's Market Kale

"Oregon State Beavers" Yukon Gold Roasted Potatoes

"Arizona State Sun Devils" Tortilla Soup

Some thoughts: apparently the only thing Fox dining services knows about CU is that we're in the Rocky Mountains and we like beer (both true). Personally, I would've gone with Buffalo Wings. USC gets a bacon wrapped hot dog because they are in the ghetto, and there are tons of street carts that sell bacon wrapped hot dogs (which are delicious). I find it absolutely hilarious that Ucla, located 10 minutes from my office, only gets stupid kale, which I'm pretty sure was just invented last year (no one had ever heard of kale until then). And Utah only gets some dumb old carrots. Eat it, Utah! I have no idea why the SEC and B1G are not featured, especially since Fox owns half the Big Ten Network. But luckily, I also don't care.

Anyway, there is your Very Important College Football News Of The Day, courtesy of me (Phil). I hope you carefully digest this information as you eat your own lunch. Please name all of your lunch items after teams from the conference of your choice.
