Colorado Buffaloes punter Darragh O'Nelll has been named to the Ray Guy Award watch list for the 2012 season. O'Neill joins Gus Handler and Ray Polk as preseason watch list inclusions. He is one of only three sophomores out of the 24 punters that made the list.
O'Neill beat out now junior punter Zach Grossnickle for the job heading into his freshman season. He obviously saw a lot of action last year and was an asset for the Buffaloes with a 42. 59 average and a 17 50+ yard punts. He and kicker Will Oliver put fans at (relative) ease after a shaky few years in the kicking game.
Pete Kontodiakos, Jackson Rice, Jeff Locke, and Sean Sellwood are the opposing punters who the Buffs are scheduled to see this season.
