Buffaloes Guard Shannon Sharpe To Transfer

It hardly comes as a surprise, but we finally have confirmation that Colorado Buffaloes guard Shannon Sharpe will transfer out of the program this summer. Buffzone reports that Sharpe has returned to California and will look to transfer closer to his Southern California home.

After tying (!) a school record for games played with 38 in the 2010-11 season, Sharpe saw his minutes and production decrease this year. He finished with an average of 1.1 points and 1 rebound per game in 16 appearances. Sharpe did not see any time in the last three Pac-12 Tournament contests and missed out on both of the NCAA Tournament games.

Now the attention turns to whether or not 7 ft. soon-to-be junior Ben Mills will stick it out in Boulder or head to a different program. Mills told the Camera that he has some "things in the works".

"I'm still loving it," Mills told Buffzone.com after averaging 1.0 points, 1.1 rebounds in seven games last season. "I just want to get bigger and stronger and continue to contribute for next year."

Good luck to Sharpe wherever he may land.
