and also to note, again-

if you’re a season ticket holder, Buff Club member, or otherwise booster- you can now contact the signees, per NCAA rules. Previously, you were committing an NCAA violation.

I asked that Woods (and Bell, I suppose) to generate one

but it hardly matters. You can follow them, just can’t contact them. It’s a stupid, unenforceable rule that will change, and nothing will happen if you violate it, but it exists.

interesting that Mullen didn’t hold a signing ceremony. They ALWAYS hold a signing ceremony. Maybe Miles isn’t as solid to UW as I thought.

I don’t like Embree going back on his work about only taking one QB this year. I am sure that is a big reason why Shane commited so early.

its a moot point, no way in hell he comes to CU, but I don’t see how your suppose to pass up your top in state recruit, just because he plays the ssame position as another kid and u told the kid he would be the only qb in this class.

So we’d have to play him every year, instead of 2 or 3 times.

I am not sure Miles would fit USC offense

That too

Kiffin is a bastard, hopefully Miles understands the only reason Kiffin is doing this is to screw UW, hopefully he sees through and stays home.

I think they have 2 more spots

by Phil Fraser on Feb 1, 2012 2:23 PM MST up reply actions

Buffscoop is an independent recruiting site, basically. They don’t have the infrastructure of a Rivals (like Adam M) or Scout. So they report anything and everything, regardless of whether or not the player or the AD wants that info released. That’s fine. That’s what they have to do to validate their site and pay their bills. So be it. They’ve said repeatedly that their obligation is to their subscribers, and not to CU or the incoming athletes. That is very true.

But, as a CU fan, I support our AD and our incoming athletes. So my obligations do not necessarily jibe with the obligations of Buffscoop. So I choose not to support them.

True

But, Colorado is a grab bag due to the state of CU right now. In Ohio it’s Ohio State unless they really want to leave, didn’t get offered or have a family connection elsewhere. CU needs to get back to the point where the recruits friends/family are bitching at him for not going to CU.

Fullback

It didn’t make a ton of sense adding two FBs on scholarship for the entire roster, let alone in one recruiting class. But I really do like both Norgard and Powell. While reading up on the recruiting class at cubuffs.com (official release from CU), I noticed this: Take a look at the position listed for Powell on page 36. It’s even reinforced in the position breakdown.

http://cubuffs.com/pdf8/821589.pdf?SPSID=3843&SPID=255&DB_OEM_ID=600

Maybe this is the best way to get both players playing time with Powell in the steamroll blocking TE role. Something like Jimmy Kleinsasser for the Vikings.
