Well I'm back for my annual mid season, this team is absolutely terrible Fan Post. Just like the Hawkins era, we chalked up last years atrocious 1st season as just that, it was his fist season yada yada yada. Now in similar fashion we are chalking up Embree's second season as rebuilding. "The team has 50 freshmen, so give him another few years" NO. That's what I say. I don't condone people losing their jobs, I don't condone firing coaches after 1.5 seasons when they walk into a disaster of a program. If John Embree and company continue to put this rechid product on the field for the remaining 4 games, we have no choice but to clean house. NO CHOICE AT ALL. It is one thing to rebuild, it is one thing to go 1-12, but it is another thing to give up 70 points a game and be the butt of all jokes across America. No kid with any talent will want to come play for the Buffs if this continues for much longer.
Bohn needs to give Embree to the end of this year to get COMPETITIVE. PERIOD. If he fails to compete, if he continues to put garbage on the field everyone needs to pack their things, that includes EB. Assuming the rest of the season goes the way the first part has, I suggest taking a shot at a guy like Bobby Patrino, before ya'll start commenting on Bobby, I said LIKE Bobby Patrino. A coach who has been through adversity, but has a proven track record, and EXPERIENCE. Mike Leach perhaps would have been a good choice, or Rich Rodriquez. Guys that use to be at the top but are now humbled because of one thing or another. For some reason if Embree has this team competitive the last 4 games, and he gains momentum, keep him for next year and give him an ultimatum. You tell him straight up- John, your job is to improve from last year by 4 wins and get this program heading in the right direction. If you have another joke of a year your done. Bohn better be reading this, and he better be prepared to open the university's wallet if Embree's Buffaloes lay down the rest of the way.
