Coaching Change Needed!

After enduring all but 1 game this year, I have developed a completely unbiased opinion on the basis of all problems that have occurred this year and put CU football squarely in the abomination category.

Coaching. All of it is coaching. Coaching, coaching, coaching... I know I’m really going out on a limb here and I’m sure to draw the violent disagreement from far and near, but it had to be said. We’ve all witnessed the countless instances, but I feel I must point out several glaring examples.

Starting with our first touch of the ball against Oregon, Tony Jones fell victim to not being coached sufficiently about the need to not fumble kick-offs. I mean come on, this is one of the fundamental coaching pillars that should have been instilled in him as part of last weeks game prep. Who forgot to coach Tony on this??!! Incompetence….

Next example is Jordan Webb and holding the ball too long in a collapsing pocket. What are the coaches thinking by telling him to not throw the ball?? Seriously, if Embree thinks the way to winning football is to have his QB stand back there helplessly thinking he has 10 seconds to find the wide open receiver, he must have no idea how an offense runs.

Lastly is team speed. Why is our illustrious coaching staff not coaching them up to get faster? Clearly a mastermind like Chip Kelly has a great understanding of how to get players to run fast on offense AND defense! Did you see Jon Major trying to run down D’Anthony Thomas on that punt?? Clearly D’Anthony is better coached…

I am thankful however that players Kasa and Perciak have not listened one word to our coaches and developed their talent without the distraction of coaches.
