Colorado Football Schedule 2013: Buffaloes Add Central Arkansas To Pre-Pac-12 Play - Mile High Buzz - SB Nation Denver
One more team added to the 2013 schedule. This fills out the non-conference portion of that schedule. CSU in Denver, Fresno State in Boulder.

Well...
As CU fans we’ve always been able to get on our high-horse with opposing fans with the “we play tough non-conference schedules year in and year out” argument but not anymore I guess. Two years in a row with no BCS opponents and a FCS team (and it’ll probably be 3 cause we need a home game in 2014 too). I know the 9-game confernece schedule and the game in Denver really ties Bohn’s hands though, I’m not complaining, and we need to make some bowls in the coming years…
I'm happy with this for now
We are going to be a very young team the next couple years. Hawkins didn’t leave CU with much. 2014 will be a very telling year. Last years class will be seniors. I’d think we can get back to our tough scheduling by then.
Q: What's the last thing a Nebraska stripper takes off?
A: Her bowling shoes.
I don't think it'll ever happen
not because we’re “scared” or whatever but because of the reasons I mentioned above PLUS the potential yearly Big 10 game. It’ll be CSU, some FCS or very low level FBS team that we can get to come here without a return trip, a Big 10 team, and then conference play. Of course with the Big 10 team it’ll be plenty hard even with CSU and a cupcake every year…
not sure i'd call the game in Fresno this coming fall a "cupcake"

when did I refer to Fresno as a "cupcake" anywhere on this page? We'll most likely be underdogs against them
I meant the FCS teams we play the next two years (and probably almost every year after that) but jeez, you obviously haven’t been paying attention to my posts over the years, I know there is no such thing as an “easy win” for us and I know very well our recent history against FCS teams. I meant cupcake from a scheduling perspective, not a “we’re gonna crush them and rest our starters for 3 quarters” perspective.

sorry....didn't mean to strike a nerve.
The way I read your post was that our non-conference schedule was filled with “cupcakes.” Guess I misread that…you were only talking about the FCS teams. It’s just that so many guys that post on TRR refer to non-BCS teams as somewhat inferior. In my opinion, programs like Fresno State will give us all we can handle for a couple years.

that is the saddest thing I've ever heard
considering Fresno won 4 games last year and fired their coach. (Of course, they won @ Hawaii…)
Look, I've already told Utah to suck it. There's no going back now.
