Colorado Buffaloes In The NFL: Week Two Rewind

Now that the Colorado Buffaloes have two new first round draft picks and three new players (for a total of 14) in the NFL, I thought it would be nice to look back at the NFL weekend each Tuesday to see how each of our Buffaloes fared. If you guys saw any of the games and have any comments on the play of any of these guys make sure and leave a note in the comments.

Jimmy Smith - CB - Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore lost to Tennessee, 26-13 (happy face)
Smith missed the game with an injury

Nate Solder - LT - New England Patriots
New England defeated San Diego, 35-21
Solder did not start this week on the offensive line but the Patriots had him line up as a third tight end 18 times to slow the Chargers pass rush. Pretty damn smart. It will be interesting to see how often they use this package as the year goes on.

"The Chargers have a very good defensive front. They have outstanding guys on the end of the line [at outside linebacker] with [Travis] LaBoy, [Shaun] Phillips and [Antwan] Barnes, so just having another guy out there to handle them or another guy on the wing with Dan Gronkowski just puts a little more presence on those positions," coach Bill Belichick explained.

Jalil Brown - CB - Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City lost to Detroit, 48-3
Brown was active for this loss, but it doesn't look like he got any action (snicker)

Star-divide

Mason Crosby - K - Green Bay Packers
Green Bay defeated Carolina, 30-23
Crosby hit three extra point's and all three field goals, including a long of 37 yards

Brad Jones - LB - Green Bay Packers
Green Bay defeated New Orleans, 42-34
Jones recorded three tackles in the victory

Justin Bannan - DE - St. Louis Rams
St. Louis lost to New York Giants, 28-16
Bannan started for the 45th time in his career

Tyler Brayton - DE - Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis lost to Cleveland, 27-19
Brayton had two tackles in the loss

Justin Drescher - LS - New Orleans Saints
New Orleans defeated Chicago, 30-13
He snapped really great this week, really great

Daniel Graham - TE - Tennessee Titans
Tennessee defeated Baltimore, 26-13

Andre Gurode - C - Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore lost to Tennessee, 26-13
Gurode shared time at center

Brian Iwuh - LB - Chicago Bears
Chicago lost to New Orleans, 30-13

Tyler Polumbus - OT - Seattle Seahawks
Seattle lost to Pittsburgh, 24-0

Donald Stickland - CB - New York Jets
New York defeated Jacksonville, 32-3
Strickland recorded a tackle

Lawrence Vickers - FB - Houston Texans
Houston defeated Miami, 23-13

Look, I've already told Utah to suck it. There's no going back now.
