Buffaloes Cornerback Sherrard Harrington Out 4-6 Weeks
Colorado Buffaloes true freshman cornerback Sherrard Harrington injured his hip today in practice and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks according to Adam Munsterteiger. Already working to replace departed starters Jimmy Smith and Jalil Brown, the Buffaloes lost sophomore corner Jered Bell to a torn ACL this past Saturday. This most recent injury puts another dent in the Buffs secondary.
While the injury, and recovery time, aren't neccessarily that long, Harrington desperately needed this time to learn the defensive schemes and show the coaching staff what he could do. He wasn't expected to come in and immediately start, but with so little experience at the position anything would have been possible. Harrington is now expected to take a redshirt season this year. Let's hope for a quick recovery.

At this rate we'll be asking Grossickle if he can cover a WR!!
Tough to miss the entire camp, but at least not a season ender…
god damn. What do we have to do to keep a DB healthy?
Look, I've already told Utah to suck it. There's no going back now.
The Daily Camera is reporting a Harrington to redshirt this year
Looks like Embree confirmed it today.

Red shirt for 4-6 weeks right now? Wow.
Seems a bit drastic unless the injury is more than is being divulged.
you can always pull a redshirt
But if we’re desperate to burn a ‘shirt for a true freshman DB a quarter of the way through the season, we’re probably boned for the year already.

He’s going to miss 3/4 of fall practice now. Heard for a freshman to learn the defensive schemes when you can’t practice em and like Phil mentioned, it can be pulled it need be

I guess I figured thesecondary was super thin with everyone who left and the injuries, so we were desperate.
But I get that a freshman missing most of fall practice is hard to recover from. Thx.
