Word has just come down from CU that sophomore cornerback Jered Bell has torn his ACL and will miss the 2011 season. Bell hurt the leg while making a cut at this morning's practice and no contact was involved. He was helped off of the field but was later seen at the days media activities. An MRI later confirmed the injury.
Bell played as a true freshman last year and will now redshirt this season leaving him three more years to play. This is obviously a big hit for an inexperienced Buffalo secondary, but right now our thoughts are with Jered as he starts his road to recovery.
